Newsboy Hat for Maddie

The past day or so I have been very busy crocheting one of the cutest things I've ever made.

I was lucky enough to get to test this for the amazing Jenny Weibe, who is jennyvangey on Ravelry and runs this blog which has some amazing photos of her life on it (seriously, stalk her, now). I don't have any pictures of this being worn yet, because I won't see my little model, Maddie, until next weekend, but it's still cute even without being worn.

The photos don't do this justice either, I made it out of double-stranded worsted, like the pattern told me to, and used pink and white which gave this really pretty effect on the real hat which the camera didn't pick up.

'Buy My 'Papes, Sir' which is the pattern I used for this, isn't avaliable yet, because it's still being tested, but when it's up its something I really recommend making.

You can make it in newborn, infant or toddler and they all look so cute that I have to make another one.

If you have a few hours spare and a child under two, I can personally recommend making this. It's quick, it's cute and it doesn't make you want to gnaw your arm off from frustration. If that isn't glowing praise I don't know what is.
